Sun Sets on Unisa Academic Year - 2011

Well, 2011 is nearly over. It's been an interesting year in many respects. It's been marked by social and economic turmoil. The revolutions in the Arab world and the death of Gadaffi seemed unlikely surprises. The Eurozone economic crisis on the other was not a bolt from the blue ( although some view it as such).

Nevertheless, I will not bore you with a summary of a year which, if you are reading this you have already lived through. I wish Sky News, BBC, CNN etc. would not run 3 days of "look back on 2011" programs as I'm sure they will in the last few days of 2011.  Below is an image which I think epitomises the end of the year. For Unisa students this time of year offers a brief respite from study.
