Response to Customer Question: Why do you stop buying UNISA books now? When do you start buying them again?

Thanks for the question. The reasons that we do not buy books now are as follows:

1. We have not yet received the prescribed book list from UNISA for 2012. This means that we cannot be sure that books sold to us will be on the prescribed book list. If it turns out that they are not on the prescribed book list issued by Unisa it will be very difficult for us to resell the books as no Unisa students will require them.

2. Our business is very seasonal and obviously becomes busier at the beginning and middle of the year (Unisa registration periods). This means that if we bought books now it is very unlikely that we would be able to resell them for this academic year as the vast majority of students already have their books for this year. This means that we will only be able to resell them next year, if they continue to be on the Unisa booklist. (see above)

We will begin buying books again in January once the Unisa book list has been issued and confirmed.

If the books that you wish to sell are on the book list for 2012 it is very likely that we will buy them from you.

Sorry that we were unable to be of assistance to you on this occasion. For more information on selling books to us visit :http://www.armstrongs.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=14&Itemid=11
