What's the verdict on Unisa's new method of repsonding to queries?

For those of you that have been so engaged in studying over the past week that you haven’t heard the news, I’m talking about the closure of the Unisa Call Centre - and the adoption of an sms and email only method of communication.

I have tried the email route. This morning I sent a brief enquiry to the email address listed on the my Unisa website. That was at 10:29. No news yet. But let’s be fair - according to a Unisa prescribed book “Managing E-Commerce” emails should be responded to within 24 hours. I think that this an acceptable turn around time - if your enquiry is not ofan urgent nature. Most people regard every query as urgent. I hope that Unisa do respond within 24 hours. Although not really urgent the query I sent was not just sent for the purposes of testing the system - like everyone else I do really want and need an answer. My education and future depend on it. I will report back tomorrow.
